Works For Me Wednesday - Cupcake tips

Every Wednesday Rocks In My Dryer hosts a blog carnival called "Works For Me Wednesday" (WFMW). Bloggers from all over the blogosphere post a little tip, on their own blogs, that works for them in making their life easier. I participated with this post over the holidays, and I plan to have fun participating more!

I have an easy tip for making cupcakes AND for keeping the pounds off WHILE you make the cupcakes!
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Using an ice cream scooper makes filling your cupcake tins easy, clean and equal!
Nothing beats getting to lick the bowl..........
even if you don't want your Mom taking your picture!
My secret to keeping myself from licking the bowl, the beaters and the spoon?........
CHEW GUM!
If I chew gum while I bake, then I don't want to sample the batter!
Right now my favorite gum is Dentyne Blast Cool Lime
Give it a try! Your hips will thank you!
Don't forget to head on over to Rocks In My Dryer for more WFMW tips!
That is a great tip! I never heard of using an ice cream scoop for making cupcakes!
I never lick the bowl and I don't like gum, so I guess I'm good there ;) My older son loves to lick the bowl, my younger one will have nothing to do with it, lol.
I have a small scoop that's perfect for cupcakes and an even smaller one perfect for scooping cookie dough so they are all about the same size.
Cheryl~What a good idea about the chewing gum! I will definately try that!
You have the same batter bowl I have! I love mine!!
Also, those Duncan Hines cake mixes make the bestest, and moistest cakes ever...don't you think?
Gotta lick the batter don't you? Just a taste? Then chew the gum so not tempted to eat a whole cupcake, or two, before anyone knows they're missing!
Thanks for the great tips. We were just cupcaking this past weekend and I really think we didn't yield what we were supposed to because there were too many extra fingers in the bowl! Gum for everyone!
I *love* gum with squishy jelly inside it! Haven't had any in forever...must find this.
Love the pic of her cleaning the bowl. Oh, to be young enough to do that and not gain 2 lbs immediately, sniffle.
