By The Book: How to Take Care of MY Kids {Giveaway}

I have a confession to make...........

I'm a detail FREAK! Ok, I guess that REALLY means I'm a CONTROL FREAK. I like things done a specific way, and I'm NOT afraid to tell you how to do it! LOL

So when Karen Berg, co-author of By The Book: How To Take Care of MY Kids, asked me if I would like to review her book - I knew the second I read the title that I would LOVE it!

As a mom, how many times have you grabbed a piece of paper and jotted down some info to leave with a caregiver? whether it be a sitter, grandparents, daycare or even Dad? A quick list of how to reach you, emergency numbers, and maybe a few quick notes of "dos and dont's". Only to leave and think of several things your forgot, or worse yet, can't find the piece of paper the next time you need to leave your child/children in someone's care.

Now, how would you like to have all of that and more in an organized reference guide that provides you one place where you can write down all of the information about your child so your care-giver (or even husband) can easily look up the answers?

By The Book -How to Take Care of MY Kids by Melissa Bishop and Karen Berg is just the thing ALL MOMS NEED! This book is actually a neatly organized binder with pages you can fill with information about caring for your children. It’s divided into sections that deal with basics, daily/weekly routines, medical info, discipline tools, school information, etc. Each section deals with different aspects of childcare like nap time routines, how to feed the fish, and what things are allowed. Some sections are helpful to the four hour babysitter while others apply to the full-time nanny. See just how much is in this book by taking a look inside the book here!

This book is fully customizable. There are extra pages in the book and replacement pages can be downloaded as your family grows and changes. There is even useful information on finding a nanny, nanny interviews, a babysitter questionaire and even contracts.

This book is a MUST HAVE for all parents and would make a fabulous shower gift for the new mom!!

and Guess what? One lucky TidyMom reader can win a copy of the book!! You will receive an ebook, and be mailed the binder and tabs to keep it all handy and organized!!

Oh, I could so use this book. I'm a bit of a control freak - okay, I'm a big control freak, I like things my way (the right way) ;) and my kiddos really thrive on the schedule I've set up. So, to leave as much info as possible for a caregiver would be awesome. I was recently in an accident and ended up in the hospital for 6 days and nights. A book like this would have come in handy. I would recommend setting up info like this because accidents happen in a split second and lives are changed and having some much needed info around regarding your kiddos would be priceless. Thanks for the chance on the giveaway!

What a great blog you have...I will definately be coming back often! And as far as the giveaway...This looks like a life saver of a book. We just moved to a new area and without family or close friends around we have had to start leaving our little ones with a babysitter. It's a hard step to take at first, but it really is necessary at times! So, this book would be great! Thanks for sharing the info. about it with all of us!

My sister seems to think I'm a control freek when it comes to my kids :) I'm sure she's quite wrong but.....I could use a good book to keep me organized. Does it have a section for writing down what time the kids have all their lessons and sports appointments?
