Office Progress

So, I bet some of you have wondered what ever happened with my new office? Remember, I was taking a spare bedroom and moving my home office to that room? You all helped me pick out a paint color here and I showed you how it turned out here.

That was the middle of May -how does it look now?

EXACTLY the same! ......well, until this week that is!

Good news! The Bug Man got all of the junk exercise equipment moved out of the room and I started painting my big desk!

After debating between black or white, I decided on all white.

Here's my desk before (yes, WAY too cluttered too)

And after.......well, it's not put together yet, I just painted yesterday. But look how great it looks in white with the wall color!

It was a little harder than I thought it would be. I had to prime it, then I did 2 coats of white paint and a polyurethane on the counter top part.

I'm now excited to get it all put together! I've been picking up great little "finds" here and there, several need paint as well. If you take a close look at this picture you can see a few of my finds. I LOVE the locker basket I found, not sure what I'm going to do with the white shutters, and you can see one of the mirrors I picked up really cheap! Now I have to decide if I want to paint it white or black (I'm starting to even like the gold seeing it with the room color and white). I want some pieces black - I'm having a hard time trying to decide now what to make black and what to have white. Any suggestions?

Eventually I'll get it all done! I'll keep you posted, and show you all the little projects I have planned.

In the mean time - here is how my old office is looking.......and it's STRESSING ME OUT!

Now I'm off to look for some pictures for inspiration.........and ice the cookies we baked yesterday- hopefully they turn out cute and I can share those pictures tomorrow!

I'm adding this post to Kimba's "Do it yourself Day" carnival! Click her button below to see what other's are doing!

You could paint the mirror frame white and then go over it with steel wool so some of the black and gold comes through... that's just my two cents.

Love the color combo!

I love the paint color with the white furniture. It's so fresh and restful. Decisions, decisions!!
