It's Corn on the Cob Season!

Summertime = FRESH Corn on the Cob!!

We LOVE corn in our house!

Especially Corn on the Cob!

I have a quick easy way to fix it that doesn't require a grill or heating up the kitchen.

You will need corn on the cob with the full husks on

Lay the cobs in the microwave, with husks on.

The corn cooks in it's own moisture! It's DELICIOUS!!

Cook on high

1 ear - 1 1/2 -2 minutes
2 ears - 3 to 4 minutes
3 ears - 5 to 6 minutes
4 ears - 7 to 8 minutes

*my microwave plate turns, if yours doesn't I would rotate or turn them over about 1/2 way thru cooking

Let them sit about 5 mins.

Remove husk, silk will come off easily with husks.

Season to taste and enjoy!!

Blessed with Grace

I've never microwaved them in the husks, always cleaned them first then wrapped them in a damp paper towel and plastic wrap. I'll have to try them this way next time and save myself the trouble!

Great tip, we usually husk them first, but I will have to try this.

Hey, I've never tried micro corn before but now I will for sure! Veto is usually in charge of corn... being the self-proclaimed expert and all... he grew up in corn country and works out of Iowa now. If I mention this to him, I wonder if he will get all 'corn snob' on me and insist on doing it his old way!!!

I like to take this to a moister level~Soaking the corn~husk and all in cold water for at least one hour prior to zapping ~ makes for juicy corn~
